Thornbury Records has a big day organised, for their small store. There is always a queue all day, so very pleased to see there is coffee and access to a toilet from Sookie Lala, the cafe neighbour! Plus 4 turntables up for grabs to anyone who spends more than $50 (it’s a draw). Opening at 10am.
This is what they say:
We have somewhat quadrupled down this year on door prizes, and close to doubled our investment in Record Store Day exclusive releases. Whatever you do, don’t employ us to run your business, as we’ve clearly got no idea what we’re doing, but be sure to pay us a visit on the day as we’re giving away 4(!) new turntables collectively valued at almost $1400! Buy $50 worth of goodies and you’ll get an entry to the competition.
- We’ll be opening early at 10am – there will be a queue before we open, but there’s always plenty of Record Store Day goodies available until much later in the day. For people that like to line up for things, there will be cards available on arrival to hold your place in the queue. You can get a coffee (at Sookie Lala), go to the toilet (at Sookie Lala) etc.
- There’s a 1 copy per release per person rule. You can buy as many individual releases as you like, but only 1 of each. If you have a sick or injured mate, we need photographic proof.
Here’s a link to all the releases we have confirmed with prices (some more to be added shortly):
Any stock that isn’t sold out by the end of our day will become available for sale on the website. Anything sold out will be marked as sold at as the day progresses.
